Diabetes is a chronic degenerative disease characterized by a high quantity of sugar in the blood.
Those who suffer from diabetes should maintain a diet low in simple carbohydrates such as refined flour and sugar.
The diabetic should mainly eat complex carbohydrates (lentils, chickpeas, beans, etc.) as well as proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.
Taking vitamins and minerals which intervene in cellular metabolism, is recommended. Vegetables, grains and fruits contain many of these nutrients.
Daily exercise and consulting a physician is also recommended.
